THE ROLE

• Design, implement and execute automated tests
• Write and maintain tests at various levels, including API and UI
• Contribute to shaping the test automation strategy, taking the lead on delivering the agreed strategy when required
• Effective testing/QA activities ensuring seamless delivery of software changes for the company’s advanced logistics platform
• Contribute to the development of both acceptance criteria and acceptance tests – with a particular focus on automation
• Continual improvement and development of the testing processes and tools used by the team
• Support the seamless delivery of a software release through the required automated testing phases to candidate live release stage
• Take full responsibility for learning from post-release issues, and feeding back into further improved test processes
• Work with others to improve the testability of software

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• 2+ years experience of a test/QA role - Including both tester and developer
• Honours degree qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related subject
• Direct experience of developing coded automated software tests e.g. technologies such as Selenium or similar
• Specific core ability in coding – preferably in .NET C#
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks e.g. xUnit, Nunit and automation test tools such as Postman and SOAPUI
• Integration of test tools into CI/CD pipelines within platforms such as Azure DevOps
• Knowledgeable in manual and automated testing good practice
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team environment
• Knowledge of continuous integration/deployment, automated build, test and other SDLC tools
• Excellent communication skills - to succinctly capture and communicate issues found during testing
• Take ownership to pursue test issues through to the conclusion
• Excellent customer service expertise - to work directly with customers to deliver a great service/product
