Among the most interesting items transported by CCL in the past few weeks, was a 1946 Hovis van which was successfully transported from Hovis in Nottingham to Blantyre in Scotland. The vintage van was to take pride of place at a food-related open day in Scotland.
Hovis have recently decided to transport the van around the country to various customer and supplier exhibitions, to perfectly demonstrate the history behind the Hovis brand.
The movement of the van all went very smoothly, with the vintage vehicle being driven in style up to Scotland on top of a Brimec Low Loader – a wonderful sight on the motorway and another successful shipment by CCL.

CCL really can move anything anywhere, as it proved recently when asked to move some Radio Active waste from Girvan to Aberdeen. The Operations Team at CCL pulled out all the stops to move 3 full loads of radio-active waste to Aberdeen, for de-activation, organising for the return of the cleansed containers back to Girvan a week later. Operations Manager, Steven Conway, said ‘we are happy to move anything; this was a first but it went to plan and the customer was delighted (Homer Simpson watch out, I’m after your job!!)
